Hockey's So Much More Fun On An Artificial Pitch

Since having the artificial pitch layed, hockey has become so much more fun. The ball runs much truer than on grass, and you can more accurately pass and pick up the ball. That just makes everything that much more satisfying. We regularly pay for artificial pitch maintenance too, to ensure detritus buildup on the service is kept to a minimum. I never thought I'd be a fan of such surfaces, but a grassy surface (in our school) is just too uneven and the grass needs cutting regularly.
We're not training to enter the county league (we have an invite) - this takes us up to a new level, and the county league uses artificial pitches too, so we have our own pitch as the perfect training ground. Sometimes you get national scouts watching the county league, so who knows what might happen? See how such a little thing could mean something big for one of our players in the years ahead.
