My Hope for the Music Industry in 2012

I know it's cool to support piracy (essentially this is the case, though people make excuses that they aren't, they're "anti record label" which is just an excuse) - but piracy is killing quality music. A decent band needs a recording studio and a decent record producer to realise their potential. Too many bands just don't have that kind of support these days and they have to try and produce themselves using software - with less than pleasing results. A search for recording studios belgium (studios in my home country) reveals that there are still a lot of studios - I just hope the music industry can monetise like it used to, since I miss the quality music I got so accustomed to growing up as a kid. Now production always seems to be done "in the box" (via computer) with predictably bad results to anyone with a trained ear.
