Many of us do not think much about our future. Brisbane - where I grew up - is not a big city by world standards. It’s not only the fact that everything I know and grew up to is contained in this city that I love it, but also the fact that I love this city where the hills and the sea are close by. I use to always go to the beach (30 minute drive away) and walk with my bare feet on the sand and just watch the world turn to night. Those things I could not probably do in any other city. I also like that this city is much less polluted and much cleaner than those other big cities, even though these days it has the tall steel structures a typical modern city has with all the business, traffic and people they bring with them. And I could also proudly say that I could take my phone out here in my favorite city without having to worry too much about snatchers or the like. I would love to have some improvements for this city, but I still do love it without all the flashy, high-end improvements of big cities. |
